About us
I chose to name my business BeLoved Doula & Postpartum Care because that's just it, I truly care and want you to feel the love. I live in Lakeway and saw a need outside of the city for more personal and professional birthing care, whether it be a truly thorough and informative (and local) childbirth education class, extra support through labor and delivery, or just the postpartum help that everyone needs and maybe won't ask for. I am supportive of any family dynamic and all kinds of births whether it be at home, in a hospital, at a birthing center, natural, medicated, and cesarean. I'm here to give you evidence-based information and every inch of support that you need.
And here's a little more about me and some of the team at BeLoved and why I jump at the opportunity to be a part of your birth journey!

Peggy Garcia, certified doula, certified placenta encapsulator, lactation counselor 512-925-1619
Hello! My name is Peggy Garcia. I’m a proud momma to 6 beautiful kiddos that I have birthed and call my own! They range from 8 years old up to 21 years young. Our Austin journey started almost 16 years ago when I moved here from the Northeast with my husband and 3 of our children to pursue a career as an accountant. It didn’t take me long to figure out that I was not meant to sit behind a desk and stare at a computer screen for the rest of my life. I found myself working with infants and young children ever since. For the past 4 years, I have taught a 4/5 class at a local preschool, but still… my heart has always been with laboring, birthing, and postpartum parents and their babies. Any chance that I was given to be in the delivery room or help a family welcome there new little one… I jumped on. I have been blessed to be invited into the delivery room by several friends and family members to support them in their journeys in becoming parents. THAT is where I found my nitch. My love. My passion. I feel strongly about empowering women in this extremely special time and truly “mothering the mother” in the most crucial time… postpartum. I feel that with a well-nurtured mother comes a balanced, well cared for, and nurtured newborn and family.
In my free time, I love to support my boys at the baseball fields, sneak away on date nights with my amazing hubby, Jerry and snuggle my sweet pup, Remi. We enjoy time as a family outside swimming, walking, hiking, and simply enjoying the outside.
I personally have a wide variety of birth stories. I’ve delivered all my babies unmedicated. Most in the hospital, 1 at home. Some as easy as 1 push where the doctor only had time to put one glove on and some were a little more intense, like delivering a “sunny side up” baby and in another having a prolapsed uterus. My 4th baby, a 9-pound 8 oz baby boy, was delivered at home by an amazing midwife. Not having a home birth as an option with my first 3 I jumped at the opportunity and I felt comfortable enough with my body and my mind to know that I wanted a private, quiet, intimate birth at home. I was excited to explore this option here in Texas. That experience truly changed the way I looked at labor and delivery. I felt empowered, I felt heard and I felt like I was cared for every step of the way. I delivered our son in a “birthing pool” (I use that term lightly! My husband thought he was going to be cleaver and bought a fish covered kid’s pool at Toys R Us!) He got to “catch” our son that night and my mother in law and 2 of the most amazing women (midwives) were there supporting and cheering me on. It was an amazing experience for us. One that allowed me to have the birth I desired (even though I ended up with a prolapsed uterus and was destined to hospital births thereafter). I learned through that process that even though everything didn’t end up as planned, I had the support and love surrounding me to heal and be thankful that I delivered my baby at home under my terms. That is my goal with each mom/ family I work with. There is no guarantee that your labor and delivery can go exactly how you plan but with an amazing team surrounding you, we can ensure that we will do everything we can to make you feel respected, supported, and cared for every step of the way.
I would love the opportunity to support you. To be your cheerleader. Let’s visit and we can explore your needs and wants for your journey and how I can best help you accomplish that.

Sarah, Birth and Postpartum Doula
I have always felt called to help people and my fascination with the human mind led me to earn my degree in Psychology and Women’s studies from San Diego State University in 2007. I spent several years in a research career, coordinating brain imaging studies on the neuropsychology of anxiety disorders and trauma. However, I felt that a career in academia wasn't quite right for me. Something was missing. Fate then led me to my time living abroad in Costa Rica, where I lived during the pregnancy and birth of my daughter in 2016. I quickly realized that I knew close to nothing about childbirth, and felt overwhelmed trying to navigate the planning and decision making process, especially living in a foreign country. My research mind kicked in and I delved deep into the birth world, learning everything I could. This led me to investigate not only birth, breastfeeding and newborn care, but also nutrition, mindfulness, and holistic lifestyle.
In January 2020 I was lucky to attend an amazing full spectrum doula training, preparing me to support families in birth and postpartum, with additional training in reproductive health, advocacy, and reproductive justice. My passion is combining the scientific information necessary to make the best choices for your birth, along with my holistic knowledge and spiritual perspective in my doula work. I genuinely love to meet expecting parents and share my knowledge, support, and passion for birth and babies

Macy, Birth & Postpartum Doula
Hi! My name is Macy Jerdon. I am a momma to 4 amazing kiddos (2 of which are twins) and the wife of an amazing husband. After having my first two, and experiencing the support of a doula both times, I found my own interest in birth and postpartum. I loved the idea of being able to help support women and being able to help care for their sweet little(s) afterwards.
I have always loved babies since I can remember. I grew up babysitting and nannying for tons of families throughout my parents neighborhood, including my own siblings. I have over 13 years of experience caring for young children and now have 4 beautiful ones of my own.
On my spare time, I enjoy working out, spending quality time with my husband, playing with my kids outside, and going to target. We love spending all our time together.
For the last 4 years, I have been the Director of a local childcare facility, but my heart and passion has always been within the birth world. So, after my last pregnancy (which was my twins), I decided to take the birth world head on.
I look forward to having the opportunity to love and support you and your family during the most precious time of your lives.

Kylie, Postpartum Doula
Hi, I’m Kylie! I’m a mom to three wonderful beings who helped launch me into finding my calling in life.
My passion lies in focusing on the more difficult and emotional aspects of ante and postpartum. It’s important to know that it’s not always easy and that’s okay!
And to know that no matter how you may feel, you are not alone.
We all need a village sometimes.
My passion is supporting, guiding and holding space for birthing people and their families through the raw and vulnerable experiences that may arise, especially through empathetic and judgement free care.
My focus is predominantly on daytime support as I find this allows the opportunity to build a healthy foundation for the postpartum experience as a whole.
As there are many factors you are dealing with thru this transition this type of care allows the space for the mind, body, and soul to be nurtured therefore allowing the family as a whole to experience a well rounded postpartum journey.
Personally my journey started 11 years ago when I became pregnant with my first son and was exposed to the birthing world via my first midwife experience.
I was captivated by the raw and vulnerable moments that pregnancy and postpartum brought on which ignited a passion in me to guide others through this incredible and life changing experience.
As my son and I went through our first year together I went to school to become a midwife. I learned so much on this journey but my most important realization was that my passions aligned more with the emotional aspect of the birthing persons journey.
From there I majored in Psychology with a minor in Sociology through the University of Texas. As I learned more about the complexities of the human thought I became fascinated not only with the mind and ones behaviors but more so, the connection between the mind and the body.
I thoroughly believe in the healing powers the mind-body connection posses and thus became certified in trauma conscious yoga where I was introduced to the world of somatic and psychotherapies and the additional powers and tools they can provide to process and cope with everyday stressors as well as traumas.
This is something that I integrate into my doula work when appropriate for the birthing person and their individual journey.
Whether this is your first or your last child, each journey is different and special and beautiful and filled with its own unique challenges. I’m here to compassionately help with it all!

Taylor, Sibling Doula, Night Nanny , Postpartum Doula
I credit my large family for inspiring me to work with children. Being the oldest of many, helped me realize I was a natural caregiver. I've worked as a nanny since 2018 with children ages 2 weeks through 8 years old. I’ve also been a preschool teacher and childcare worker at a ski resort. Currently I'm a full-time student working on my Early Childhood Development/Education degree as well as seeking my birth and postpartum doula certifications. In my free time, I enjoy taking my dog on hikes, hula hooping, being with friends, and kayaking. I look forward to being part of the BeLoved Team and supporting families in and around Austin!

Kelly, Postpartum Doula in Training
Hi! I'm Kelly and lucky to be part of the Beloved Doula Care team. I'm an Austin transplant from Michigan (Go Blue!) where I studied Public Health and Health Informatics at University of Michigan.
What's been my journey? I've always had a love of playing with kids, helping them learn and achieve developmental milestones which led me to babysit as a side gig. As my level of babysitting experience grew, I became curious about newborn child care which triggered me to learn on my own. This is when I discovered specialized programs and certifications exist for this type of career. So here I am!
I look forward to working with your family by providing emotional and newborn care support, but especially opportunity for rest and self-care during this transition in your lives.

Jada, Sibling Doula, Night Nanny & Postpartum Doula in Training
Hi there! I'm Jada. I come from a huge blended family and took on some major responsibility with my younger siblings at a very young age. As the fourth oldest of thirteen siblings, I have truly found my passion in childcare. I am very blessed and thankful for those responsibilities for they have given me the confidence to be a babysitter/nanny on and off for the past 6 years. I have a lot of experience working with infants and toddlers, and I spent two years babysitting a baby on the autism spectrum. I truly love working with babies and being that helping hand to families. I approach each placement as its own individual experience where I can help both the family and the baby grow and learn.
Nothing makes me happier than running into someone who I used to babysit and remembering all the fun times we had together! I look forward to being a part of the team!
